Every tin is small enough to live in your kit bag and last you a season.

Step 1 of 3

Start with the balm.

Hand made in the UK with locally sourced beeswax. It moisturises without softening, so raw patches close over and the calluses you earned stay put. One tin lasts most rowers a season.

Step 2 of 3

Pack the bag.

The bits that live in the bottom of a kit bag all season. Tape for the days it has already gone, a towel that dries before the next outing, and the rigger jigger that everybody borrows and nobody gives back.

Step 3 of 3, optional

Wear it off the water.

Hand-drawn designs, printed in the UK. Add one to the kit and it counts towards your bundle saving. Rowing for a club that wants its own? Feather & Square draw those too.

Our signature balm, day by day

Feather & Square's own account of a week of use, taken from their product page.

Day 1

Your hands take a beating when you put down fat watts. Rub it into the affected areas to reduce redness and prevent the hands from drying out.

Day 2

The balm is starting to soften and moisturise the raw patches.

Day 3

The blend of vitamins and naturally antiseptic ingredients start to revitalise the skin, reducing redness.

Day 4 to 5

With fewer new rips, high blood circulation does its job and the raw patches start to close.

Day 6 to 7

With the hands nearly fully healed, final patches are starting to close and healthy skin is restored.

Rowers in Feather and Square kit at a training camp

Run by rowers, for rowers.

Miles Beeson founded Feather & Square in 2021 while studying at Yale, to make rowing a bit less miserable. He started rowing aged 13 in Aberdeen and is now a member of the GB Rowing Team, most recently winning a silver medal in the men's eight at the Shanghai World Championships. Five years on, the signature balm has helped thousands of rowers all over the world heal their hands. Proudly made in the UK.
